First smartwatch for me and I think it works great. The watch gives you nice watch face choices. The display is bright and easy to access function wheel. Holds a charge for days with short charging time when seated for charging. I wish there were more band choices available to be more feminine.

I wouldn't recommend this watch if it were the last one and it would save my life to have it. I bought the watch in July of 2017, and I have yet to see it on my wrist more than 1 day before going back to service and it comes back the same way it was, This thing is a piece of junk, I am tired of sending it to service and the same problem keeps happening over and over.

I was hesitant to engage in such a cost for this S2 smartwatch, however I love the size since my wrist is not wide enough to hold the latest models. Once purchased, set up and all the instructions read I must say this watch does everything I could imagine. I love that it has a sedentary reminder, it shows all the usual reminders as well. The style is not flashy or overpowering. Just the right fit for me. So with all this said, if you are petite, small framed or have a small wrist I highly recommend this smartwatch since it is just that, small yet powerful! Great job!

I have owned many watches in my life, but this one is the best thing I have ever put on my wrist. I call it a thing because it is a watch, a phone, a fitbit, and closely resembles Wonder Woman's Bracelets of Submission (I'd gladly submit). They should call it a phwatch of Submission. I call, text, check my heart rate 5 times every hour because I do aerobic exercises while working at my desk, check my steps, check the weather, and find my phone when it falls out of my chain mail while doing medieval reenactments. It has enhanced my quality of life so much that I actually have human friends now instead of just my action figures and blow up dolls. Highly recommend this product.

My 1st smartwatch + iPhone

I have worn a watch almost 24/7 for a few decades now, and when my last one broke, I decided to try a smartwatch. I did lots of online homework, and settled on the S2 as the best feature/performance/aesthetic/price for me. The S2 connected to my iPhone flawlessly, and the list of installable watchfaces and other apps is far more than I've had time to explore so far. The OS seems pretty intuitive, the bezel control is as cool as advertised, and the screen is amazing. The included extra band sizes are nice too. I have small (7") wrists and use a combo of long and short band for a perfect fit with minimal overhanging strap. My only quibble so far is that the watch does not wake up consistently when I raise my wrist. I understand the need for auto-off, and appreciate how much it helps battery life, but coming from a traditional always-on digital watch, it can be annoying to look at a blank watch. This is particularly true when you're trying to be subtle about checking the time.

Want to love this product and something keeps happening to make me change my mind. When I first got it, a screw fell out of the band. I had to send it in to get a band. Couldn't buy one at Best Buy. Got that fixed. Accidentally went swimming and immediately took it off. Now, it is acting weird. The book states it's water-resistant for submersion up to 1.5 meters and 30 minutes. Didn't do either of those and have complications.

I've been using this smart watch for 4 months now, and I'm really happy with what it is and what it does. I want to caveat this review with the statement that I wasn't really looking for a smart watch when I received it as a gift, so it isn't like I felt a burning need for what this watch can do. I also want to say upfront that I'm probably not using the device to its fullest potential. I love the notifications interface - very clear and easy to use while paired to my Samsung smart phone (formerly an S6, now an S8). It's easy to see what's causing my phone (and wrist) to vibrate without being too distracted from whatever conversation I'm in. I also like that I can clear stuff quickly without needing to take my phone out of my pocket. I do wish I had a bit of a deeper integration to some of my apps (ex, my email app Newton doesn't let me reply to an email from my watch) but in general it works well as a notifications display. I use a few apps with my watch, most frequently the timer function. I've tried a few other apps such as MyFitnessPal, but the interface to the phone takes so long to launch that I'd rather just use my phone instead of the watch. I wish the Samsung Health interface would integrate with my FitBit so I could stop wearing 2 bands at the same time, because I'm so invested in the FitBit ecosystem that I can't give it up at this point. I like Samsung Health, but it doesn't replace MyFitnessPal and Fitbit for me. I don't use many other apps and I don't ever play games on it. I don't know how to invoke the voice control or use it to take notes, which I always do on my phone anyway. Battery life is excellent for a smart watch - I usually wear it through an entire day (starts at 5:00am with a workout) then through the day at work and I sleep while wearing it to track sleep. I charge it while I'm in the shower in the morning after my workout, before I leave for work. Compared to my FitBit Charge HR, who's battery lasts approximately 1 week, it is a bit annoying to charge so frequently, but it's easier thanks to the charge dock. I'd recommend this model to anyone, but I'm not yet 100% sold on the smart watch rather than a nice analog wristwatch.

Hello, this is my review of the Samsung Gear S2 (AT&T variant): The Samsung Gear S2 was a very wonderful smart watch that I would very much recommend to a friend or stranger. The pros very much overpowered the cons but of course, they're still cons. Anyhoo let's get into it. The watch itself has a very sleek and comfy stainless steel design to it, on the bottom there is a heart rate sensor and the watch is compatible with Samsung Health. The wrist straps are removable, so if you don't think they're stylish enough or are too uncomfortable, then you can buy other wrist straps. It is very durable but I found myself a bit worried after I scratched it up against a wall on accident a couple of times. The watch comes with Bluetooth 4.1 and you can also receive calls and texts with it and forward calls to it if you leave your phone at home, or a feature that I always use is AT&T NumberSinc so you can connect your actual phone a number and sing it up to your watch so you can get texts from your phone to your watch. It is 4G compatible and also can connect to Wi-Fi, I really never found the Wi-Fi part to be useful but it's there. The UI is pretty smooth at times but it can get a bit laggy if you have too many apps open, speaking of apps there really isn't much to choose from, there isn't many apps. The only one I found useful though is the calculator app you can download off Galaxy Apps. There is one problem I have to say about the build quality though. If you have sensitive skin, it might irritate your akin and cause it to break out. That was the case with me. I thought it was the wrist strap but it was the watch itself. And it left an itchy and somewhat painful rash on my wrist. Just something to consider. I do recommend this watch if you're interested in buying a smartwatch.

If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased the Gear S3 instead of the Gear S2. The S2 is a decent watch/fitness tracker overall, but the battery life is not as good as it is advertised. If I use it moderately, I can make it 12 hours, but if I use it heavy, I have to charge it at around 8 hours. The features are basic but function well and the design is a little cheap for the price. You do not have very many selections if you want to change the band either. Overall, I am satisfied with the Gear S2 and I would recommend it for someone who needs a good basic watch/tracker.

Only compatible messaging app is stock Messenger app. If that is your go to texting app, you are golden! If you use any other, like Texts, you are out of luck. Why they will not update the software to make this happen is beyond me. I have actually stopped wearing my Gear.

I received my G S2 for Christmas and I've been playing with it ever since. I've downloaded some 'apps' for new faces, some didn't have all the features on the face of the watch...steps, battery info, bpm that I would like to see, but I just change them out. I love the alarm, the notification that I'm getting a call or txt message when I'm not with my phone..or close too it. Also helps that ot tells me who is calling...if I don't want to talk to the person I have set up some messages. The sleep function sometimes isn't always accurate..says I'm awake for a few hours...but I'm not. The steps are fairly accurate, unlike the Fitbit HR that I was wearing. I did but a replacement watch band, but I haven't figured out how to do the replacement yet. No manual with it, but that's how most electronics are now a days. All in all I'm very happy with it, especially knowing my husband got a great deal on it at Best Buy. Someone had returned theirs (opened) for a different color.

I have many smart watches. This is by far the best design on any of them. Just a few things that the android powered watches offer that this seriously lacks.the Svoice feature really sucks. Its very slow to respond. Half the time it doesnt even recognise what I'm trying to say. There's a lot to ask more of the watch faces as well. Android actually tells me the phone battery level n gives me a lot more info on the actual watch face . The apps are ok but samsung has to come up with more functional apps.

This samsung product, like all other samsung products, is very well built and designed. It functions great and the battery lasts a few days if your a light user. The only problem I have is logging my steps and heart rate through the s health app.

Samsung Gear S2

I love this device, but the only thing that should be advertised is that the gear s2 3G watch is capable of answering calls and not just the gear S2. Other than that I don't know how I have lived life without a computer on my wrist. I also think the apps that are available are really slim picking, I think more apps the better.

First thing is either find a way to swim with it on or create a case. I'm disabled and swimming is key to my rehab. But I can't wear the watch to track my progress. Also allow for different apps. Some of the apps are great but I'm not sure the apps that are available are the best ones out there. I understand all the Samsung apps but it would be nice to add amazon music I don't have Pandora or use Google music.

It has some great features and is a really fun product. It will be even better when it's excepted by my Virgin Pulse app.
