Lacks a good place to store the S Pen

this design is more about being sleek than functional, and it does sleek quite well: the galaxy tab s7+ book cover feels like it adds nothing to the form factor of the tablet itself. in concept, it also has three convenient storage locations for the s-pen: a dedicated magnet in the 'spine' of the book cover, the edge of the tablet, and the back of the tablet (which doubles as the charging location). unfortunately, the only place i want to store my tablet is on the charging slot. and if you use that location, the pen can easily fall off because the magnets aren't strong enough to guarnatee a strong hold, and the slim form factor of this book cover lacks protection from minor knocks or rubs in a bag.

Bookcover is a semi-fail

like the other reviewers the flaw with this bookcover is that the s pen is not protected. you can easily loose the s pen. mine has falling off quit a bit. and the price is very high.

no way at all to properly secure the pen? it looks like the keyboard cover what kind of product design "expert" allows a piece if useless junk out to market like this cover? making arrangements to return the useless book cover as soon as i find a good one on the aftermarket.

Will not secure the S Pen as it should

i love my new galaxy s7+ but the ability to secure the pen either to the tablets back or using the bookcover needs work. shortly after purchasing it i lost my s pen and had to order another. the next time it came off i was lucky to find it. i believe that if this design flaw was fixed you would sell more of these tablets and accessories. i was in my doctors office the other day and ran into one of their employees who was interested in my tablet. needless to say i changed her mind in buying an ipad and buying a galaxy tab s7+. again the tablet itself is awesome with exception of being able to secure the s pen flaw (by relying on the magnet only). the one star rating is primarily my rating on the bookcover.

despite the complaints about the s pen storage location being wrong & bad design there are actually two storage places for the pen. one inside, there a recess at the binding edge below the tablet that will hold your pen securely when closed and one on the back opening that charges the pen, the pen will also magnetically cling to either of the screen angle strips. this cover is a lightweight design that gives screen protection and some edge protection and tablet is easily removed when needed and i find it meets my needs.

Awful Design! ...Stay Away!

This year (0202) the powers that be decided to leave a big hole that used to cover the pen on last year's design. now, it is wide open for it to easily fall off and get lost at any moment. it was much better when the cover actually protected the pen from getting lost. i returned the cover, because it is a foolish and dumb design that will only cause heartache, pain, and financial loss. i will buy a better smarter design from a different manufacturer who protects the pen from getting lost. what is also crazy is that they applied/kept the pen cover on the keyboard/cover, but not on the regular cover without the keyboard. dumb! dumb! dumb!

No Spen flap

horrible design flaw in case. there is no way to secure your spen. i am upgrading from a tab s6 that offered a flap to secure the pen. also every time i use the case to prop up my tab it comes off from the back, magnet in back is not as strong. only case samsung sells with the flap to secure the spen is the keyboard cover. unfortunately it will cost an additional $150 to get that feature.

Severe Design Flaw

i was ready to buy the tab s7+ until the design for the book cover was revealed. it has a major flaw where the s pen is supposed to be stored inside the book cover instead of on the back of the tablet like it is on the keyboard cover. in place of the flap that would cover and protect the s pen is just an open space where the pen would connect to the tablet. why would this be thought of as a good design? the s pen needs to be connected to the back of the tablet in order to charge, and if you leave it there with the book cover, you run the risk of losing the s pen because there is no flap keeping it protected. why not just keep the same design as the book cover form the tab s6, but just make it for the tab s7 and s7+?
