Not well designed

This keyboard fits well with the tablet, but it is almost impossible to remove without damaging the tablet, (which I did). Also the pen holder, what were they thinking? It holds the pen but does not keep it from falling out. I put some washi tape on the end of the pen to make it secure inside the holder. I should not have had to do that. I have been a Samsung user for decades, but this was a big fail.

The original Tab S book cover had an extra slap that overlapped the folding part which made it secure and reliable. The Tab S4 cover eliminated this extra flap and as a result the magnetic latching does not hold its place all the time. Almost every time I pick up the unit the fold flips open and many times I almost drop the tablet. This was a waste of money for what I got. Samsung needs to go back to the old design.
Also unless I'm missing something there is no way to hold the pen in place while transporting the closed book cover. So the pen could fall out very easily. Overall a very poor design and I don't see how Samsung justifies the price of $69.99.

I travelled out of the country to come home to see my order.The order including my new tab S5e arrived when l was away.
When l returned on Tuesday 7th May i set up the tablet which is fine but the Tab S4 Book cover was too large for the tablet. I want to return it immediately for a matching one or a complete refund.

Does what it supposed to do. Good Protection. Good typing. Horrible pen holder. Pen dosen't fit all the way in.

A good case , great protection and has overall great quality. I have no complaints, the only thing I would change is the location of the S Pen holster. Other than that I'm satisfied with my purchase.

This cover is OK but not great. Although I like it somewhat better than the keyboard cover it is more of an entertainment case rather than a productivity case. The S-Pen solution on both S4 cases seems like an afterthought and not well engineered. Some of the cheaper cases popping up on Amazon seem to be better designed but who knows on longevity/built quality. I suggest using this as a basic entertainment case and peel off the S-Pen holster. Good luck!!
